Having ‘semi’-retired from corporate life we moved from the home counties into our dream house with our two dogs, Oscar and Archie, in 2018. My wife Jilly and I were married in the village in July 2019 and now feel very much at home having made loads of new friends. I have been very keen to participate in as much of village life as possible. I was extensively involved in the organisation of the new look Village Fair in 2019 and am on the commitee for this year’s covid delayed, but much heralded, return. I am a bit of a sports nut, played a lot of rugby and have run 4 marathons. Today my love of sport is fulfilled in more of a watching, rather than a playing capacity! However, I do still ski and scuba dive and am a qualified rugby referee. I play for the the Shipton under Wychwood cricket club (and am on the committee) and for the Oxfordshire over 60’s (third team usually!). I am also on the New Beaconsfield Hall commitee as well as a trustee of the Shipton under Wychwood United Charity.
