Christine and I moved to Shipton in 2012 having spent working life in London in Royal Mail and its predecessors as a senior HR manager. Our daughter and family have lived in the Cotswolds for many years and been settled in Shipton for over 20 years so I knew the area well, including many grandfather visits to the Playground and Wild Garden. I have been Chairman of a small hotel company, trustee of 2 small charities and spend spare time riding round the countryside on my bike. Activity in the village has included helping run the weekly coffee mornings at the NBH until Covid struck, and organising an annual quiz for the WI and occasionally the Church. I am a Shipton volunteer. I joined the Parish Council in order to help our village manage its future for the benefit of our fellow villagers.
