Change to evening rail service Shipton – Oxford

As publicity officer for the Cotswold Line Promotion Group this is to let you know that there is a small but useful improvement to evening  rail services from Shipton in the new December timetable which starts on Monday, December 12th.

Until now Shipton has been served on Mondays to Fridays  by an evening local  service to Oxford which departs at 1923 and arrives at Oxford at 1957 which is very late for those attending evening entertainment  venues which often commence at c 1930.

From the new timetable there will instead  be a call in the 1726 IET service to London Paddington calling at Shipton at 1830 arriving into Oxford at 1900 which is much better timed and hopefully likely  to increase both interest and usage of this service by Shipton residents. The return service remains the same provided by the 2150 from London Paddington which departs Oxford at 2245.

Best wishes
